Grace Is God’s Gift

Ephesians 2:8-9 (NKJV):8. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,9. not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Salvation is God’s gift. Every gift has two characteristics: it is offered freely, and it must be received.

Many people try to pay for what God freely offers. They believe that good works, religious activities, or personal sacrifices can earn God’s acceptance. But the Bible clearly teaches that salvation is “not of works.”

Good works are important, but they are the result of salvation—not the cause of it.

Today, thank God that your relationship with Him rests on Christ’s finished work rather than your performance.
